Translation and legalization agency arte.doc carried out a competition for young translator

YOUNG TRANSLATOR
In the context of the commemorating 50 years since the birth of Petya Dubarova and the events related to that, in April 2012 Translation and Localization Company arte.doc celebrated the work of the poetess with a competition for young translator in which the contestants had to translate one of Petya Dubarova's works to one of EU's official languages.
The contest became subject of substantial interest and we received many translations from pupils and students from all over the country who want to advance in translation or just like to translate. After the time for submission ran up, a specially formed for the purpose jury comprised of translators and editors of arte.doc had the pleasant, but quite uneasy task of appraise the received translations and to choose winners.

The three best translations were selected, and having texts with such high quality at hand, the jury decided to also give an incentive prize. Here's how the final ranking looks like:
First place: Denitsa Kenanska
Second place: Alexander Malinov
Third place: Vasilena Ivanova
Incentive prize: Silviya Spasova

All winners were rewarded with internship position as a freelance translator and enlisting in arte.doc's translators' database. The winners also received special charters.
We are glad to note that with this initiative we gave an opportunity to young and gifted language lovers to show their talent and to enhance their skills while delivering translations for us, allowing them to gain valuable experience which will be of great use in their further professional development.
